Meet halfway in Delhi
For a group meeting in Delhi, the fairest points are usually Rajiv Chowk, Kashmere Gate, Central Secretariat or Hauz Khas - Delhi Metro interchanges where two or three lines cross. Which one is fairest depends on where everyone starts: togather times each person door to door and finds the spots where nobody is stuck with a much longer trip.

Where groups actually meet in Delhi
Interchanges that work as a fair midpoint for most groups. togather will not always land on one of these - it answers for your actual starting points - but they are the ones that come up again and again.
Rajiv Chowk
Yellow and Blue lines
Under Connaught Place, where the two busiest lines cross, so most of the city reaches it with one change at most, and there is plenty to do when everyone arrives.
Kashmere Gate
Yellow, Red and Violet lines
Three lines in the north of the centre, which makes it the fair answer for a group living in North Delhi, across the Yamuna or out towards Ghaziabad.
Central Secretariat
Yellow and Violet lines
Where the Yellow line meets the Violet line, and a good middle for a group split between the south-east and the north.
Hauz Khas
Yellow and Magenta lines
The southern crossing, with Hauz Khas Village nearby, and fairer than Connaught Place for a group living in South Delhi or coming in from Gurgaon.
Mandi House
Blue and Violet lines
A central crossing just east of Connaught Place, and a fair pick for a group split between the Blue line towards Noida and the Violet line.
Kirti Nagar
Blue and Green lines
The western crossing, and fairer than anything in the centre for a group with people out west along the Green line.
INA
Yellow and Pink lines
Next to Dilli Haat, and the fair answer when part of the group is on the Pink line, which loops round the city without passing through the centre.
How to pick a fair meeting point in Delhi
Delhi is a very large city, and journeys across it are long. The Delhi Metro is what makes a fair meeting point possible: more than a dozen lines, colour-coded, crossing at interchanges all over the city. Distance on a map tells you little, because the line you live on decides how long the trip takes.
So start with the interchanges. Rajiv Chowk, under Connaught Place, is where the Yellow and Blue lines cross, and most of the city reaches it with a single change. Kashmere Gate joins three lines in the north. Central Secretariat and Hauz Khas link the Yellow line to the Violet and Magenta lines.
South Delhi groups meet at Hauz Khas, western ones at Kirti Nagar
Connaught Place is not automatically fair. A group living in South Delhi or Gurgaon is better served by Hauz Khas than by a ride into the centre and back. A group out west is better served by Kirti Nagar. Sending everyone to Rajiv Chowk can add a long ride for the people at the edges.
Mixed groups are normal too: someone drives, someone takes the metro. Traffic can turn a short drive into an hour, while the metro time stays steady. togather times both kinds of trip from each person’s own starting point and keeps the places where the group’s travel times are close. Everyone can open the result and see their own route.
Meeting halfway in Delhi - questions
- Where is a fair place to meet halfway in Delhi?
- Usually a Delhi Metro interchange rather than the map's middle - Rajiv Chowk is the classic answer, and Kashmere Gate, Hauz Khas or INA can be fairer depending on where the group lives. togather works out which.
- Some of us drive and some take the metro. Can it handle that?
- Yes. Set the mode per person. In Delhi that matters: the metro time is steady while a drive can double at peak hours, so togather times each journey on the mode that person actually uses and looks for a spot that is fair to both.
